KDE Linux桌面环境
KDE，K桌面环境(Kool Desktop Environment)的缩写。一种著名的运行于 Linux、Unix 以及FreeBSD 等操作系统上面自由图形工作环境，整个系统采用的都是 TrollTech 公司所开发的Qt程序库（现在属于Digia公司）。KDE 和 Gnome 都是 Linux 操作系统上最流行的桌面环境系统。
KDE Plasma 5.3 Beta 发布，此版本新增大量的组件，改进了现有的桌面，用户更加友好。
用户友好体现在：
电池监视器程序能够在桌面显示应用程序，也可以抑制电源管理。
关闭笔记本和显示器连接的时候，默认启用‘Cinema mode’模式。
屏幕亮度也可自动变化。
键盘亮度按钮可以支持锁屏。
其他改变有：

Improved bluetooth functionality, including new applet, ObexFTP listing in Places panel
Return of system stat Plasmoids (e.g. CPU load)
KDE Activities powers Recent Docs, Recent Apps in Apps Menu
